Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about renting a dumpster in Greenville, SC.
How much does a dumpster rental cost in Greenville, SC?
Pricing depends on the dumpster size, how long you keep it, and the type of material going in. Call us at 864-808-3867 for an exact number on your project. There are no hidden fees, no fuel surcharges and no sales tax — what we quote is what you pay.
What dumpster sizes do you offer?
We offer 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard dumpsters. Each size suits a different kind of project. If you are not sure which one you need, call us or look at our sizes page and we will help you pick.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Every rental includes a seven-day rental period. If you need longer, call us and we will arrange an extension. We would rather extend your rental than pressure you to rush the job.
What can I put in the dumpster?
Most household and construction materials: furniture, appliances without Freon, construction debris, roofing shingles, yard waste, drywall, flooring, carpet, general trash, concrete and brick. Heavy materials like concrete carry weight considerations — mention it when you call.
What items are NOT allowed in the dumpster?
We cannot accept hazardous materials: paint, chemicals, solvents, pesticides, tires, batteries, electronics, medical waste, friable asbestos, flammable materials, or appliances containing Freon. If you are unsure about a specific item, call us at 864-808-3867 before you toss it.
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster in my driveway?
In most cases no permit is needed if the dumpster sits on your own property — a driveway or yard. If it has to go on a public street or right-of-way in Greenville, you may need a permit from the city. It varies by location and project, so ask us when you call and we will point you the right way.
How do I know what size dumpster I need?
Think of each cubic yard as roughly the size of a washing machine, so a 10 yard dumpster holds about ten washing machines worth of debris. As a rule of thumb: 10 yard for a small cleanout or a single room, 15 to 20 yards for larger rooms or a roofing job, 30 to 40 yards for major construction or commercial work. Placement matters too — a 10 or 15 yard fits in a standard parking space, while the larger sizes need a driveway.
Do you offer same-day or next-day delivery?
Often, yes. Same-day delivery depends on what containers we have available and where you are in our Upstate South Carolina service area. Call as early in the day as you can and we will tell you straight away whether we can make it.
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
Each rental includes a set weight allowance. If your debris goes over it, an overage charge applies per additional ton, and we will tell you that rate upfront when you book. Concrete, soil and roofing shingles add up fast — let us know if you are loading heavy material and we will advise on the right approach.
Can I extend my rental period?
Yes. Call us before your rental period ends and we will arrange it. Extended rental is charged per day. We work with you, not against you.
What areas do you serve?
Greenville, SC and the wider Upstate South Carolina region — including Spartanburg, Greer, Anderson, Simpsonville, Mauldin, Taylors, Easley, Fountain Inn and Duncan. Our service area page has the full list.
Do you offer dumpsters for roofing projects?
Yes, roofing is one of the jobs we handle most. We usually recommend a 20 yard for a residential roof. Shingles are heavy, so we will size it to carry the load without tipping you into an overage. Call us with your square footage and we will recommend the right container.
Can I put concrete or dirt in the dumpster?
Yes, but both are heavy enough to blow through a weight limit long before they fill the box. We recommend keeping heavy material to a fraction of the dumpster's volume. For large quantities, call us — a separate smaller dumpster is often cheaper than the overage.
How do I schedule a pickup when I'm done?
Call us at 864-808-3867 when you have finished loading and we will schedule it. We typically collect within one to two business days. If you need it gone faster, say so and we will do our best.
Do you have contractor or commercial accounts?
Yes. We work with contractors, property managers and businesses regularly. If you have ongoing dumpster needs, call us about account options — it is simpler than booking each container separately.
