What Can Go In a Dumpster?
Most of what comes out of a house or a job site is fine. A short list is not — and getting it wrong can mean a rejected load.
Accepted materials
- Household junk and furniture
- Appliances (an additional landfill fee may apply)
- Construction debris
- Roofing shingles
- Yard waste and brush
- Drywall and plaster
- Concrete and brick — heavy, ask us about weight
- Flooring and carpet
- General trash and clutter
- Manure
- Non-friable asbestos — you must provide the manifest and required paperwork
Not accepted
- Hazardous waste
- Paint and solvents
- Chemicals and pesticides
- Tires
- Car batteries
- Electronics such as TVs and computers
- Medical waste
- Friable asbestos
- Flammable materials
- Appliances containing Freon
A word on weight
Concrete, brick, soil and roofing shingles are accepted, but they are heavy enough to hit a weight limit long before they fill the container. If you are loading a lot of any of them, say so when you book — a smaller container for the heavy material is usually cheaper than an overage charge on a large one.
